7 Business Lessons I've Learned After Raising Over $5,000,000

7 business lessons I've learned after raising over $5,000,000:

1. Trust Yourself

I always underestimated myself and my abilities. I used other people as a crutch instead of doing the work I knew I could do to succeed.

Believe in your abilities and don't let doubt hold you back.

2. Issues Today Fester & Rot

Everyone hates confrontation, but you can't avoid it in business. Don't let small problems go unresolved.

Tackle them head-on before they become bigger issues that are harder to fix.

3. Product is All That Matters

I pitched dozens of investors with nothing but ideas and dreams.

No one cares.

All that matters is the product you have, how you're going to get customers, and how you're going to make everyone more money.

4. Never Settle for Mediocrity

Mediocrity is the enemy of success.

There's more 'Wantrepreneurs' than Entrepreneurs that want to build amazing products.

Don't be satisfied with "good enough".

5. You Prosper with the Right People

I've wasted money, time, and resources on people that didn't share the same vision.

Surround yourself with people who share your values and can help you achieve your goals. The right team is essential for success.

6. Empathy Builds Powerful Products

Understanding your customers' needs and wants is crucial in creating a product that solves their problems.

A product is only good if someone else thinks it's valuable. Empathy leads away from common pitfalls.

7. Greed is the Greatest Enemy of Success

I've seen greed kill great businesses, amazing ideas, and long-term relationships.

Greed leads to poor decision-making, lost opportunities, and failure. Stay focused on long-term success rather than short-term gains.
