10-step Plan to Build a Die-hard Community Worth Over $1,000,000

Here's the 10-step plan to build a die-hard community worth over $1,000,000:

Step 1. Identify your target audience:

How can you even begin to attract anyone to your community if you don't know how to cut through the noise?

Understand who your product is for and know what they actually care about.

Step 2. Create valuable content:

Knowing your customer makes content creation easy. Content builds strong, long-lasting relationships.

Share helpful information and resources related to your product to attract and engage potential customers.

Step 3. Encourage user-generated content:

Some of your best content won't be anything you even make.

Make it easy for customers to share their experiences with your product, and spotlight the best examples.

Everyone loves natural and organic-feeling content.

Step 4. Build relationships:

Take time to engage with members of your community and build relationships with them.

The truth is that you can get 10% of your goal with just 1,000 True Fans.

Once you prove this is possible, 10,000 fans and $1,000,000 is within reach.

Step 5. Listen to feedback:

We're all so wrapped up inside of our own lives that we forget anyone else exists or the ideas they have.

Carefully consider feedback from your community, especially members that believe in the product.

Step 6. Foster community ownership:

Give community members a sense of ownership.

This encourages them to help you shape the direction of the community aligned with your vision.

When they buy-in, they become a stakeholder invested in your success.

Step 7. Reward engagement:

Engagement is the lifeblood of your community. It builds trust, adds value, and makes members more loyal.

Offer incentives for community members who are actively engaged and contributing to great conversations.

Step 8. Leverage social media:

There's not enough time in the day to fully leverage all social media without building a massive team.

Focusing on 1 - 2 platforms you promote to is way more effective at building your community than 3 - 5 platforms poorly.

Step 9. Be consistent:

When you're inconsistent and inactive, your community is missing the one thing that brought them all together.

Make it a priority to regularly engage with your community. Schedule it if you have to.

Step 10. Collaborate with influencers:

Content creators are still slept on.

I've seen influencers move $100,000 in a day.

Partner with creators in your industry to promote your product and community to a wider audience.

Maturity teaches you that a rising tide lifts all boats.
